British High Commissioner to Nigeria, donating blood to yesterday’s blast victims.
Yesterday, I talked about the escalating terrorist attacks in Nigeria and highlighted the ‘heart rending’ event of a bomb explosion that also occurred yesterday in Abuja. [ Read here: Terrorism in Nigeria] So many people were killed in the bomb explosion at the motor park in Nyanya, Abuja and many were rushed to Asokoro General Hospital close by.
The National Emergency and disaster management agency had raised the issue of dire need of blood at the hospital to save the survivors and since, many Nigerians have been trooping to donate blood.
I was very inspired and grateful when I saw the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Dr. Andrew Pocock also going to donate blood to the victims in a show of empathy and solidarity.
It was really heart warming. Thanks, Mr Pocock, Nigerians are grateful.
May the souls of lives lost yesterday Rest in Peace.
